A resOS alternative for UK restaurants that want one fixed price, whatever the month brings

resOS is booking and table-management software from Copenhagen, with a free plan for a small number of bookings and paid plans set by how many bookings you take each month. Slotina charges one published price per location, keeps the waiting list inside that price, and carries the same table on to the order and the bill.

Every resOS fact on this page links to the resOS page it came from.

Two ways of pricing the same diary

resOS's pricing page starts with a free plan, capped by bookings a month, and then three paid monthly plans. What moves you from one to the next is volume: each paid plan covers a number of bookings a month, and only the largest is unlimited. It says plainly that it never charges per booking, per cover or a commission.

The second half of the model is the add-ons. Online payments for deposits, prepayments and no-show fees, the waitlist, text messages, several locations and API access are each a paid monthly add-on, free for their first 30 days. Slotina's price is per location, whatever the bookings, and the waiting list is part of it rather than an add-on.

What Slotina does differently

Volume never changes the price

One price per location, with unlimited bookings, covers, tables, staff and devices. The run of December office parties, or the bank-holiday weekend when the garden fills, is a good month and nothing more.

The queue is part of the book

A walk-in is seated in one tap at the best free table. When the room is full, guests join the waiting list from the QR code at the door, see their place and an honest estimate, and the host is shown which waiting party a freed table suits.

A plan in real measurements

You draw each room to its real size and place the tables on it, so a table for six that would block the walkway is refused when you save. The host stand then shows who is due, seated, on which course and asking for the bill.

What Slotina does not do

  • No bookings from Reserve with Google, Facebook, Instagram, BookItPlease or any other network: only your own booking page, the phone and the door.
  • No booking widget embedded in your website: you link to the booking page from the site you already have.
  • Nothing links Slotina to the EPOS or card machine you run today.

Choose resOS if

  • Your month is small enough for its free plan, or steady enough that one booking tier fits it, and you would rather add features one at a time than pay for a full package.
  • You want guests to book you through Reserve with Google or the Facebook and Instagram buttons, which resOS integrates with and Slotina does not offer.
  • You want a booking form embedded in your own website, or Zapier and an API to join the diary to your other tools.
  • You value being able to pause a paid plan in a quiet season, and a 90-day money-back guarantee.

Moving from resOS

  1. Export from resOS

On Slotina's import screen, pick resOS: it shows resOS's own export steps. Download your guests and bookings as those steps describe; Slotina reads CSV and Excel files.

  2. Check the columns and the preview

Slotina suggests a match for each column from the file's header row, and you check or change every one before a preview. Nothing is saved until you import, and an import can be undone from its history.

  3. Draw the rooms, set the services

Draw your rooms and tables, set your services and turn times, and print the QR card for the door. Future bookings arrive confirmed, waiting for a table; past ones become visit history. No marketing consent is carried across from a resOS file.

  4. Switch the link, then end the plan

Put the new booking page's link on your website and profiles. resOS says paid plans can be paused or cancelled at any time; end yours once the bookings left in it have been served or moved across.

resOS questions

Does resOS take a commission on bookings?

No. resOS says it never charges per booking, per cover or a commission; what changes its price is the plan, set by bookings a month, and the add-ons you choose. Slotina takes no commission either, and its price per location stays the same however many bookings you take.

Is the resOS waitlist included in its plans?

Its pricing page lists the waitlist as a paid monthly add-on, alongside online payments and text messages. In Slotina the waiting list at the door, the guests' QR sign-up and the free-table offer are part of the one price per location.

Does resOS have a floor plan?

Yes: a drag-and-drop table plan where tables are placed, resized and shaped, with a separate layout for each floor or room. Slotina's plan is drawn to each room's real size, which is what lets it refuse a layout that would not fit.

Can I bring my resOS guests and bookings into Slotina?

Yes, as a CSV or Excel file: pick resOS on Slotina's import screen, follow the export steps it shows, check the column matches and the preview, then import.

Does resOS sell to restaurants in Ireland?

None of the resOS pages read on 4 November 2026 mention Ireland or an Irish customer, so this page compares the offer as a UK restaurant meets it: pounds sterling on the pricing page, UK text messages and UK import tools.
