Terms of service — Slotina
Last updated: 4 November 2026
1. The parties and these terms
1.1 These terms are a contract between Belavin Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under number 16735157, registered office: 6 Salstar Close, Birmingham, B6 4PP, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "Slotina"), and the business that opens a Slotina account ("you", the "venue").
1.2 They govern the Slotina service: the venue console at app.slotina.io, the Slotina app for iOS and Android, and the guest pages we run for your venue (together, the "service"). Clause 19 also covers the website slotina.io. Our Data Processing Terms (clause 8) and the fee and plan details shown when you subscribe form part of this contract. Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle personal data as a controller.
1.3 You accept these terms when you create an account. If you create it on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that business.
2. The service
2.1 Slotina is software for restaurants, cafés, bars and other hospitality businesses. Depending on your plan, your country and what you switch on, it lets you take and manage reservations, a waiting list, events and tickets, private dining, pre-orders, pickup and table orders and deposits, keep a guest book, run your floor and kitchen screens, organise your team's rota, hours and tips, and send messages to your guests. Some features are offered only in some countries; the console shows what is available to you.
2.2 Slotina is offered only to businesses. By opening an account you confirm that you act for a business and not as a consumer. We do not sell anything to consumers.
2.3 We develop the service continuously. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove or materially reduce a feature you pay for, we tell you in advance by e-mail, and you may end the contract under clause 14.
2.4 Technical requirements. To use the console you need an internet connection and a current version of a common browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox) with cookies and JavaScript enabled, or the Slotina app on a supported version of iOS or Android. Your guests need only a browser and an e-mail address. Printers, card readers and other hardware must be compatible with the service; the console tells you which ones are.
3. Who contracts with whom
3.1 Slotina supplies software to you and nothing else. When a guest books a table, buys a ticket, pre-orders, orders or pays through your Slotina pages, the contract for that is made directly between the guest and you. We are not a party to it, we do not supply food, drink or any other service to your guests, we do not sell your services in our own name, and we do not receive or become entitled to any part of what your guests pay you.
3.2 You alone are the supplier of what you offer through the service. You are responsible for your offer, your prices, your terms for guests, your invoices and receipts, and for accounting for any tax on your sales. Your guests are your customers, not ours.
4. Account, team and security
4.1 To open an account you must be an adult authorised to act for the business, and give accurate information about yourself and the business. Keep it up to date.
4.2 The person who opens the account is its owner. The owner can give logins to team members and decide their roles. You are responsible for everything done through the logins of your account, for giving each person only the access they need, and for removing logins of people who leave.
4.3 Keep your password and any PIN confidential. Tell us at once at hello@slotina.io if you suspect that someone has gained access to your account without permission. We recommend switching on two-step sign-in.
5. Trial, subscription, prices and payment
5.1 Trial. A new venue can try the service free of charge for the trial period shown when you sign up. No payment is taken during the trial. If you have not added a card and agreed to the monthly charge by the end of the trial, the venue is paused, not charged: your bookings, diary and data remain available to you, but your guest pages stop taking bookings and paid features stop.
5.2 Subscription. The subscription is per venue (location) and per month, at the price shown on our pricing page and on the billing screen when you subscribe. It is bought on the web, through Stripe; it cannot be bought in the app. The owner adds a card on Stripe's payment page and agrees to the monthly charge; the first charge is made when the trial ends, and then monthly in advance until you cancel. If you are offered a founding or other special price, it applies for the period stated with the offer.
5.3 Extras. Optional extras (for example text messages) are charged separately, only if you switch them on, at the price shown before you do.
5.4 Taxes. Prices are stated without VAT. Belavin Limited is not registered for VAT. If your business is established in the European Union, the supply is subject to the reverse charge: you account for any VAT due in your country. Please give us your VAT number in your billing details.
5.5 Price changes. We may change our prices with at least 30 days' notice by e-mail. A new price applies from your first billing date after the notice period. If you do not accept it, you may cancel before then. A price guaranteed for a period with a special offer does not change during that period.
5.6 Failed payments. If a payment fails, we tell you and try again. If it is still unpaid after the period stated in our message, we may pause the venue as in clause 5.1 until it is paid.
5.7 Cancellation. You can cancel the subscription at any time in the console under Settings › Payments › Subscription and billing. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for; we do not refund part-months, except where the law requires it or clause 5.5, 14.3 or 16 gives you the right to end the contract early. After the subscription ends you keep access to read and export your data for 90 days (clause 15).
6. Payments from your guests
6.1 If you switch on deposits, card guarantees, prepayments, ticket sales, order payments or other guest payments, you are the merchant and Stripe is your payment provider. You connect your own Stripe account and accept Stripe's terms with Stripe. The money goes directly to your Stripe account; we never hold it, and we take no commission or fee from it.
6.2 Your deposit, cancellation and no-show policies are yours to set and yours to justify. The service shows your guests the amount and the conditions before they pay. Keeping these policies lawful in your market, honouring them, and refunding a payment taken in error are your responsibility; you can refund from the console.
6.3 Guest payments are available only in the countries where the console offers them.
7. Receipts, fiscal rules, allergens and tips
7.1 Slotina is not a certified fiscal till unless the console expressly says that a certified fiscal connection is active for your venue in your country. An order summary, a bill shown in the service or a Stripe payment confirmation is not a fiscal receipt. You are responsible for issuing the receipts and keeping the records that the fiscal and tax law of your country requires.
7.2 Sales reports and exports are records for you and your accountant, not tax returns.
7.3 You are responsible for the allergen and other information about your food and drink, on your menus and elsewhere, and for acting on the allergy and dietary notes your guests give you.
7.4 The tips record is a tool to help you; it moves no money. You are responsible for distributing tips and keeping the records that the law of your country requires (for example, in Great Britain, the record of your tipping policy and allocations for three years). Download your tips record before you delete your account.
8. Data protection
8.1 For the personal data of your guests, and of your team that you enter into the service, you are the controller and we are your processor. Our Data Processing Terms (Article 28 GDPR and UK GDPR) form part of this contract and govern that processing; they also list our sub-processors.
8.2 You are responsible for having a legal basis for the data you collect, for informing your guests and team (you can publish your own privacy notice for guests in the console; it is linked from every guest form), and for answering their requests.
8.3 For your own account data and our relationship with you, we are the controller; our Privacy Notice applies.
9. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you publish through the service, for honouring the bookings, tickets and orders made through it, and for complying with the law that applies to your business — in particular consumer, food, licensing, employment, tax and data-protection law, and the rules on marketing messages to your guests.
10. Acceptable use
You may use Slotina only lawfully and only for your own business. In particular you may not: publish unlawful content or offer unlawful goods or services; make misleading statements about your venue, your offer or your prices; upload content you have no rights to, or infringe anyone else's rights; discriminate against, harass or threaten anyone; send marketing to guests without their consent or another legal basis; use the service to deceive guests or to obtain payment or card details; get around our security, access other users' data, disrupt the service or copy it automatically; share your sign-in with anyone not authorised; or open an account to get around a suspension. Clauses 13 and 14 say what we may do if these rules are broken.
11. Intellectual property and your content
11.1 The software, the Slotina name and brand belong to Belavin Limited or its licensors. You may use the service for as long as your account is open.
11.2 Your content — texts, menus, photos, logos, prices and your data — stays yours. You give us a free, non-exclusive licence, for as long as your account is open and only to run the service, to store it, show it on your guest pages and in messages to your guests, resize or crop it, and translate it automatically into the languages the service supports. We use your content or your venue's name in our own advertising only with your prior consent, which you can withdraw.
12. Availability and support
12.1 We work to keep the service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may carry out maintenance, if possible at quiet times and with notice in the console.
12.2 Support is given in the console's help chat and by e-mail at hello@slotina.io. We do not offer telephone support.
13. Suspension and restriction
If you break these terms or the law, if there is a well-founded suspicion of fraud or abuse, if the security of the service, your guests or other users is at risk, if a payment remains unpaid (clause 5.6), or if the law or an authority requires it, we may — choosing the mildest step that is enough, and usually after a warning — remove or hide individual content, switch off individual features, or suspend your account. At the latest when the step takes effect we e-mail you our reasons: the specific facts and the rule they fall under, unless the law forbids us to give them. You can reply and use the complaints route in clause 17; if the step was not justified we reverse it without delay. While an account is suspended we send you a copy of your data on request, unless the law or the protection of others prevents it.
14. Term and termination
14.1 The contract runs for an indefinite period, from the creation of your account until it is ended.
14.2 By you. You may end the contract at any time by deleting your account (the owner, in the console under Settings › Team & account › Account, or in the app), or by e-mailing hello@slotina.io from the owner's address. Before you delete the account in the console, cancel your subscription and deal with the guests still expected (future bookings, tickets and private parties); the console tells you what is still open. Deleting the account erases its data at once (see our account-deletion page), so export what you need first.
14.3 By us. We may end the contract with 30 days' notice by e-mail, stating our reasons. We may end it sooner only where the law obliges us to, for a serious breach or a breach repeated after a warning, or for fraud or a well-founded suspicion of it — and then we e-mail you our reasons without delay. If we end the contract without cause, we refund any fees paid for the period after it ends.
14.4 When the contract ends, your guest pages go offline. Clause 15 says how you take your data with you.
15. Access to your data, export and switching
15.1 You can see all of your venue's data in the console at any time, including what your guests give when they book. You can export your guest book, sales, working hours and tips records yourself; on request to hello@slotina.io we provide a complete copy of your venue's data in a common machine-readable format, free of charge.
15.2 We have technical access to your data as far as running the service needs, and our staff look at it only to run the service, to help you when you ask, to investigate faults and abuse, or to meet a legal obligation. We analyse how the service is used across all venues in aggregate, to improve it, detect abuse and produce statistics; we do not give you data about other venues, and we do not give other venues data about you.
15.3 You can move your data to another provider or into your own systems whenever you like. If you want time to move, e-mail us: the service keeps running unchanged for up to 30 days while you move, we help as far as is reasonable, and after that you can still sign in and export for at least 30 more days, with your guest pages offline. We charge nothing for switching, export or deletion.
16. Changes to these terms
We e-mail you any change to these terms at least 15 days before it takes effect, saying what changes and from when — longer where the change needs significant technical or commercial adjustments from you. You may end the contract with immediate effect before then, and we refund any fees paid for the period after it ends; if you do not, the new terms apply from that date. The notice period does not apply where the law or an authority requires a change in a way that does not allow it, or where an urgent change is needed to protect the service, your guests or other users from fraud, malware, spam, data breaches or other security risks. A change never applies retroactively unless the law requires it or it only benefits you.
17. Complaints
17.1 Complaints about the service or about anything in these terms — including a step under clause 13 or a technical problem — can be sent to hello@slotina.io or through the help chat in the console. Please describe the problem and, if possible, the venue and the time it occurred. The route is free.
17.2 We look at every complaint carefully and promptly, in proportion to its importance, and tell you the outcome in plain language, at the latest within 14 days of receiving it.
17.3 We are willing to take part in mediation in a particular case and to pay a reasonable share of its cost. Your right to go to court is unaffected.
18. Liability
18.1 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for loss caused intentionally or by gross negligence.
18.2 Subject to clause 18.1, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
18.3 Subject to clause 18.1, our total liability under or in connection with this contract in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us for the service in the preceding 12 months and (b) £500.
18.4 We are not responsible for the services of providers you engage yourself, such as your Stripe account, or for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
19. The website slotina.io
19.1 The website slotina.io presents Slotina. You may view it and print or save pages for your own information; any other use of its content requires our prior written consent. Information on the website, including prices, describes the service in general and may change; the terms and prices that bind us are those of this contract and the billing screen when you subscribe.
19.2 Joining the early-access list on the website is free and voluntary, creates no account and no obligation, and gives no right to a particular launch date, price or condition. Only businesses, and people acting on behalf of a business, may join. You can leave the list at any time with the link in any of our e-mails. We may remove entries that are evidently false or automated, and close the list at any time.
19.3 You must not send automated or mass requests to the website, try to get around the protection of its forms, try to gain unauthorised access to it or disrupt it, or copy it systematically, except for ordinary search-engine indexing. The website may link to websites of third parties; we are not responsible for their content.
19.4 The website is provided free of charge and "as is". Clause 18.1 and 18.2 apply to its use; nothing affects the mandatory rights of consumers.
20. Governing law and jurisdiction
20.1 This contract, and any dispute arising from it, is governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction; we may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which you are established.
20.2 Mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are established that cannot be excluded by contract remain unaffected. For the use of the website, consumers keep the mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country in which they live, and may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
