A Tablein alternative for UK restaurants that would rather not count their bookings

Tablein is booking software for small restaurants, bars and clubs, and its plans are set by how many reservations you take each month. Slotina charges one price per location however busy you get, and runs the room, the order and the bill as well as the book.

The list costs nothing and sends one e-mail, on the day Slotina opens.

A booking book priced by the booking

Tablein's pricing page sets out three monthly plans per restaurant, Starter, Growth and Success. What separates them is the number of reservations included each month: Starter and Growth charge for every reservation above the allowance, Success is unlimited, and Growth and Success share the same features.

For a twenty-cover bistro with a steady week, an allowance is easy to live with. It starts to matter in the months you cannot plan: the December run of office parties, the sunny Saturday when the terrace fills, the week the local paper writes you up. On the two smaller plans, each reservation above the allowance is charged. Slotina's price is per location, and the number of bookings, covers, tables and guests has no effect on it.

Before you compare features: who you would be signing with

Tablein's terms name UAB "Internet Marketing Solutions", a company incorporated in Lithuania, and its about page places the company there too. Its terms are governed by Lithuanian law.

  • Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance and renew automatically for the same period.
  • To stop a renewal, the terms ask you to cancel at least seven days before the next billing period begins.
  • Fees are not refundable, except where the law requires it.
  • There is a 14-day free trial that needs no card, and no setup fee; text messages to guests are priced by country and operator on top of the plan.

None of this is unusual for software sold across Europe. It is simply what you would be agreeing to, and the seven days' notice is the date to put in your diary if you ever decide to move.

A fixed price, and the evening after the booking

A busy month costs the same

One price per location, with unlimited bookings, covers, tables, staff and devices. The office-party fortnight in December is a good fortnight, not a bigger invoice.

The door, not just the diary

The host stand shows who is due, who is seated and who wants the bill. A walk-in is seated in one tap, or joins the waiting list with an honest estimate; when a table frees up, the waiting party it suits is offered it.

The rest of the evening

Once the party is seated, the waiter sends rounds by seat and course to the kitchen display. When they ask for the bill, it splits by dish, by seat or evenly, and each payment is recorded with its tip.

Choose Tablein if

  • Your month is small and steady enough that the smallest allowance covers it with room to spare, and a booking book is all you want.
  • You want guests to find and book you through Google, Facebook, Instagram or the Michelin Guide, which Tablein names and Slotina does not offer.
  • You have no website yet and would like the free restaurant website that comes with Tablein's plans.
  • You want to try before you decide, with no card asked for during the trial.

Not part of Slotina

  • No bookings from Google, Facebook, Instagram, the Michelin Guide or any other network: only your own booking page, the phone and the door.
  • No restaurant website and no booking form embedded in yours: you link to the booking page from the site you already have.
  • There is no connection to an EPOS or a card machine already in the restaurant.

Moving from Tablein

  1. Export from Tablein

On Slotina's import screen, pick Tablein: it shows Tablein's own export steps. Download your guests and bookings the way those steps describe; Slotina reads CSV and Excel files.

  2. Check the columns, then preview

Tablein publishes no column list, so Slotina suggests a match for each column from the file's header row, and you check or change every one before a preview. Nothing is saved until you import.

  3. Guests and bookings arrive

Future bookings arrive confirmed, waiting for a table; past ones become each guest's visit history. A guest already on file is matched by e-mail or phone and never overwritten. No marketing consent is carried across from a Tablein file, and an import can be undone from its history.

  4. Draw the room, then give notice

Draw your rooms and tables, set your services and turn times, and put the new booking page's link on your website. Then cancel Tablein in good time: its terms ask for at least seven days before the next billing period.

Tablein questions

Does Slotina charge more in a month with more bookings?

No: the price is per location and the same whatever the number of bookings, covers or guests. Tablein's two smaller plans, by contrast, include a set number of reservations a month and charge for each one above it.

Can I bring my Tablein guests and bookings with me?

Yes, as a file. Pick Tablein on Slotina's import screen, follow the export steps it shows, and upload the CSV or Excel file; you check how each column is matched and see a preview first. No marketing consent comes across from a Tablein file.

How much notice does Tablein need if I leave?

Its terms, read on 4 November 2026, ask you to cancel at least seven days before the next billing period, or the plan renews for the same period. Its fees are not refunded except where the law requires it.

Is this comparison for restaurants in Ireland too?

No. Tablein's home, pricing, about and terms pages, read on 4 November 2026, name no Irish market, office or customer, so the comparison stays with the UK offer and its prices in pounds.
